"Beside the Manor" is an Artisan Workshop creating Bespoke Doll's Houses and interiors, together with created 1/12th and occasionally 1/24th scale customised items.

Gilded fireplaces, distressed furniture, ornamental curtains and hangings, all jostle for space together within Hand Painted Houses which create individual 3D art forms. An attractive talking point for the home and an heirloom of the future.
Commissions are welcome and workshops are available.

Marjorie has always been a very creative person, holding City and Guild Certificates to Distinction level in Floral Arrangement and Credit Level in Floristry. She dabbled in pottery for Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award - more years ago than she cares to admit, has made Wedding Dresses and Soft Furnishings and had a brief spell as an Interior Designer.

Marjorie's houses and interiors have been exhibited in the Liverpool Academy of Arts, and also her
'Mad Hatter's' Tea Shop was on loan to the Daresbury Exhibition in Liverpool. Marjorie is soon to have some of her houses exhibited in Liverpool....so watch this space!

Marjorie became involved in the secret world of 1/12th quite by chance - a long story and not for the faint hearted. And after stepping away from the rat race... Atelier beckoned as an outlet for a grumpy old woman to rekindle her creative juices. Set in the beautifully adapted buildings in the fabulous surroundings of Burton Manor College grounds what more could she wish for? Except perhaps the bus pass due in 4 years! Life Begins...
