Artist, Designer, Jeweller.

Wirral born Jo has a B Ed (hons) in Art and Design from Lancaster University, and spends her time painting, and working as a counsellor often using Art Therapy skills. Over the last few years she has exhibited in several art galleries on the Wirral but painted primarily as a hobby. Now her children are older, she has maximised her time to work commercially.

Jo says about her work:

"I have abandoned my formal, lengthy design techniques from my early training in art and now take a more spontaneous, intuitive approach. My paintings almost take on a life of their own as I aim to portray my emotional response to my chosen subject matter. This is often my local beach or nearby woods, but I find inspiration in almost everything. I love to incorporate textural elements that help to suggest the natural qualities inherent in the subject. Hand made papers, recycled plastics, litter and other unusual debris are sometimes included, creating richly textural and tactile pieces."
