A lifelong interest in drawing and the desire to learn how to use this creativity in a more aesthetically pleasing way led me to Burton Manor in 1998. I enrolled on a painting course (Level 1) and never looked back. I was hooked and continued to study from then on. As a full-time teacher with family and home commitments Burton weekends were a breath of fresh air!

In April 2008 I completed my BA Honours degree in Fine Art with the University of Chester and returned to Burton! This time as a professional artisan with my own Atelier studio workshop.

The representation of a moment in time has been the focus of my recent work. To the artist this transience is difficult to encapsulate. My work is an attempt to make material sense of time by representing a visual sensation of a moment. To create a mutual relationship from which time is expereinced.

When painting I work mainly in acrylics, watercolour and on silk.
