Sonja Moss-Dolega is a German Artist and crafts mixed-material earthenware and stoneware sculptures. Her passion for figurative pottery was evoked by the delicacy of the famous 18th Century porcelain from Meissen and Nymphenburg. An artistic career spanning 25 years has allowed Sonja to develop and expand her skills in hand building and later in casting and throwing. Having exhibited from Conwy (Wales) to Neuburg (Bavaria), Sonja is an active member of the North Wales Potters' Association and several other established galleries as well as the Atelíer. Sonja's creations are influenced by everyday observations, especially expressive body language. She focuses on form and balance, combining simplicity and ornamental functionality. Various types of clay, glazes and decorative materials are used to create her figurative works, which are designed to adorn interiors and also the garden. Sonja is happy to customise any of her ideas for you: perhaps you have a cat of a certain colour or a special occasion requiring a personalised gift. Whichever, Sonja's creations can be finsihed to suit any requirement, producing an original and unique hand-crafted ornament.
