Aleta spent ten years teaching Art and Design in two local Secondary Schools before leaving full time work to care for her three daughters. She now hopes to work successfully as a mosaicist, accepting commissions and offering demonstrations and workshops. Her mosaics have been exhibited in galleries on the Wirral and in Chester.

Aleta says:

I make small, highly decorative glass mosaics, using the finest materials imported from Italy. My work is concerned with colour, texture and pattern, and is inspired by the mosaic art of the medieval Mediterranean. I make mirrors and other decorative objects as well as figurative mosaic panels.
